On accepting your nature and working with it — not against it

One of the most honest texts about astrology: why accepting your chart is not surrender — it's the beginning of real work.

One of the hardest moments in a birth chart reading isn't learning something unpleasant about yourself. It's accepting it. Not resigning yourself — but seeing where exactly you are constantly at war with your own nature.

War with the chart

Very often a person arrives with the question 'how do I become different'. More disciplined, less sensitive, more sociable, less anxious. The chart shows: many of these 'flaws' are not character defects but features of structure. Firing a gun at the horizon and expecting a different result.

Fighting your own nature is one of the most energy-costly strategies there is. A person spends enormous amounts of effort on 'not being themselves' — and then wonders why they're constantly exhausted.

Acceptance is not surrender

Accepting the chart doesn't mean 'I'm just like this and nothing can change'. It means: stop fighting what is your foundation, and begin working with it consciously. The difference is enormous.

Example: a person with Moon in Scorpio has spent their whole life fighting their emotional intensity — ashamed of it, suppressing it, treating it as pathological. Acceptance means understanding that this depth is their strength. And using it as a resource, not as a problem.

What changes after acceptance

An enormous amount of energy is released. The energy that was going into suppression and fighting. A different question arises: not 'how do I become different', but 'how do I be myself — in the best possible way'.

This is a subtle but important shift in direction. One question leads to exhaustion and self-criticism. The other leads to development and fulfilment.

A practice: where are you at war with yourself

Ask yourself: in which situations do you think 'I shouldn't like this', 'I shouldn't react this way', 'I need to be different'. That is most likely where your natal nature lives — the part of yourself you haven't yet accepted.

Working with the chart isn't an instruction on 'how to become perfect'. It's a conversation about who you actually are — and how to make this version of yourself as fully alive and realised as possible.
